Basis calculations for several different situations, such as gifts, inherited property, personal property converted to business use, S-Corporation and partnership basis, intangibles, and others will be discussed along with depreciation recapture regulations.  The webinar will include several examples of how to calculate the gain or loss on the sale and the breakdown of the gain or loss between capital gain or loss and ordinary gain or loss.

Course Objective

Webinar attendees will be able to identify a capital asset and determine how to figure the basis for the asset when it is sold or disposed of in order to compute the taxable gain or loss on the sale.
